How Deskfy helped Domino's Pizza marketing team be more efficient

Domino’s is the largest pizza chain in the world πŸ•. Currently, it is also the largest pizza delivery network in the world, with more than 15,000 stores in 85 countries 🌎. With these great achievements we all know that Domino`s is recognized for its innovations in different companies sectors and in its marketing team was no different, they were searching for a tool thath could optimize the marketing processes so that the demands of their franchisees could be met with more agility while maintaining brand consistency.

Domino`s marketing team in Brazil has around 20 people with an in-house agency structure, with different roles and approval levels. Getting to know their process in depth, we understood together which tolls were they using to get the job done and what were their main pain points throughout the process.

Domino's Pizza Marketing Process Before Deskfy

We had a discovery session with the marketing team, in order to understand their marketing process better, their old process is explained below:

Once a franchisee has a need to create customizable marketing material for its store, they had two ways to have it:

‍

1️⃣ The franchisee needs to fulfill an online briefing with detail information about their request, and wait for a week to receive the asked material

or

2️⃣ The franchisee could access the online Domino's portal, select the marketing assets needed, and download the material to use.

‍

Bottlenecks in the Process

We understood together that the two options that franchisees had to download marketing assets weren't practical at all and it was full of inefficiency, In example:

‍

⚠️ The briefing that the Franchisee fulfill was in a google forms solution,
forcing the marketing team to re-write the request in its internal system, generating re-work.

‍

⚠️ The team management system that was used to distributes the tasks for the designers, didn't notify the members of the team, therefore the team members needed to be all day refreshing the tool page to see if there is any new work todo, causing lack of productivity amount all members of the team.

‍

⚠️ After the designer finishes its work, they had to share their asset in the network folder within the team, then he needs to send a message for the person responsible for this task, so he could approve it and send over to the franchisee that had requested the material. Not having these communications within the same tool causes a lot of misunderstanding and delay on the material delivery.

‍

⚠️ Last but not least, the crazy amounts of We Transfers and Dropbox shared links sent all-day long, with expired and lost links a lot of work to re-generate the links and send over by e-mail was a time-consuming task for everyone.

‍

Any small bottleneck has a huge impact on a process such as this one, with +20 people involved and the need to serve more than 300 stores across different regions. Therefore the need for a new solution to optimize results was urgent.

Benefits achieved After Implement Deskfy Solution

After implementing the Deskfy tool across all the marketing team members and it`s 300 stores Domino's could achieve incredible productivity in the end-to-end process

Deskfy modules was able to substitute the existing tools that the team were using and concentrate all marketing process into one single solution. Making easier for the franchisee and the marketing team members.

- Our Digital Asset Management module substitutes the network folder they had between the design and marketing team

- Our workflow modules substitutes the out of data workflow system they had, as well the needed to use third-party tools like excel, google forms, Whatsapp and We Transfer.

- The old Domino's portal was substitute by our templates modules giving the team much more possibility to use templates in a new way.

‍

- The internal communication with franchisees that were done by e-mail was replaced by our Announcements modules, which give the team KPI`s such as who has read and when the communications posted.

In this Domino's Pizza project we can conclude:
